We are excited about the new Bible Series that will be coming out on the third of March and airing on the History Channel. The ten part series walks through the bible from Genesis to Revelation and concludes on Easter Sunday. We would like to facilitate viewings of the series through our connect groups. The series broadcasts, for two hours, Sundays at seven on the History Channel and rebroadcasts Mondays on Lifetime and Wednesdays on the History Channel. And of course, you could TiVo it and watch it anytime that works best for you.

Here is what we need to know:

– Would you be interested in hosting viewing parties starting on the week of the third and continuing through the week of Easter?

– If you are:
a. What day and time works best for you?
b. What group of people (young professionals, young marrieds, college aged, youth, senior, any, etc…) would you be interested in hosting?
c. Would children of those attending be welcome to come?

– What would be required of you:

a. Just open your home to friends and family in the Church. Some of you may want to help facilitate a meal along with the series, but most of all, we are just plain EXCITED to gather around such a powerful portrayal of the truths of the Bible.

b. Since the episodes last two hours, we aren’t looking to generate a lot of discussion before or after. We will be sending out regular Pew 2 You outlines that you can use to facilitate discussion in your regular connect group meetings, but for the times you view the series, just relax and have a good time with your friends.
