HIS-story, my life
12-27-15

Highlights:
1.) Our part of the story of God is to:
a.) Tell others His story.
b.) Surrender to His plan for me.
c.) Witness and testify.
d.) Surrender the outcome.

2.) We cannot mix up the two stories (our story and God’s). If we do, we rob God of His glory and rob ourselves the best life we can live.

3.) Our job is to be reflectors of God’s glory. We don’t absorb the accolades or compliments but instead, like a mirror, we reflect the glory back to God.

Discussion Questions:
1.) What is the point of being a Christian?

2.) We need to surrender the outcome of our testifying to God. Are we so concerned about how others will receive our witness that we cover the lamp or we fail to even light it? What compels you to move forward in telling God’s story, in spite of our fear of the outcome?

3.) Who’s Kingdom are you building with what you do, how you live, and how you spend your time?

Key Scriptures and Quotes:

“No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.”
Luke 8:16 NLT

“God is looking fur ordinary people to play significant roles in His story.”
