We are encouraged to be like Paul.
We are encouraged to follow Christ.
We are encouraged to have others follow us.
We all have flaws. Don’t excuse them, refuse them, by the grace of God.
Discussion Questions
Pastor Phil asked, “Are you changing the culture or are you being changed by the culture?” How are you changing the culture that is immediately connected to you?
To say, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” is intimidating because we all know our flaws. Even though we are flawed, why should we, in word and in action, invite others to follow us as we follow Christ?
A life of serving others is a part of imitating Christ. In what ways are you giving to and serving others? How does this testify to Christ?

Follow – G3401: to imitate
Mimic – a person skilled in imitating the voice, mannerisms, or movements of others in an entertaining way

Imitate: an advanced behavior whereby an individual observes and replicates another’s behaviors. Imitation is also a form of social learning that leads to the “development of traditions, and ultimately our culture.”
