Pastor Phil Vance
January 14, 2018
Highlights:
Investigation takes:
A decision
Action
Hunger
Time
Video of the couple who found gold in their backyard.
God is looking for your movement toward Him. He responds favorably to your investigation of Him.
He is waiting to see if we want it.
You can’t get to holiness in your own shoes, in your own efforts. It takes a supernatural move.
When you take your shoes off, it means your staying awhile. It means you plan to relate, to linger, to invest in relationship.
Investigation gives us:
Revelation
Expectation
Impartation
Transformation
Discussion Questions:
What are your convictions about your personal spiritual devotions? What should they be?
What does “taking your shoes off” in your relationship with the Lord, mean to you? What does it look like in your relationship with God to intentionally linger, intentionally offer respect, intentionally move in closer?
What has your investigation, looking closer into the things of God, given you an expectancy for in and through you?
